The ASA is a non-profit organisation formed in 2004 and is dedicated to bringing new and unique opportunities to young musicians in Australia, as well as enriching the music community and cultural life of both Australia and abroad. Our flagship program, the international ASA Summer School, provides unparallelled opportunities for young string players and pianists from Australia and around the world. For 15 days, students playing the violin, viola, cello, contrabass and piano are inspired under the direction of world class tutors. The day-to-day program includes individual lessons, master classes, lectures, seminars, concerts, solo performance opportunities, and an advanced chamber music course. The Academy has also expanded its scope of events during the year and with an exciting vision of the future, aims to leave a legacy that will develop and inspire the future generations of Australia's musicians.
N.B. The ASA Summer School will not be run in 2012.
