The ASA is an organisation formed in 2004 which is dedicated to bringing new and unique opportunities to young string players of Australia and enriching
the music community both here and abroad. Our flagship program, the
international ASA Summer School, provides unparalleled opportunities for
young string players and pianists from Australia and around the
world. For 15 days, students playing the violin, viola, cello,
bass and piano are inspired under the direction of world class
tutors. The day-to-day program includes individual lessons, master
classes, lectures, seminars, concerts, solo performance
opportunities, and an advanced chamber music course.
The Academy has expanded its programs and has an exciting vision
for the future, aiming to leave a legacy that will develop and
inspire the future generations of Australia's musicians.
N.B. The ASA Sumer School will not be run in 2010.
